The town of Woolwich is in S.E. London, approximately 10 miles east of Westminster in central London. It is very easy to travel to Woolwich from central London, as direct trains can be obtained to Woolwich Dockyard or Woolwich Arsenal stations from either Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, or Cannon Street stations every few minutes. There are direct buses from London also, in particular the 53 and the 54, which leave every few minutes. It is also possible to travel to Woolwich on the underground on the Jubilee Line, alighting at North Greenwich Station and then getting the bus from the station to central Woolwich (the 422 and a number of other buses travel this route).

The Church of St Mary Magdalene is on Greenlaw Street, just five minutes walk from both the Woolwich Ferry and the town centre and ten minutes walk from Woolwich Arsenal Station. St Michael and All Angels Church is just three minutes walk from Woolwich Dockyard Station. St Mary’s Church has its own private parking area directly in front of the church. If you are visiting the church, you will require a parking permit, as parking there is restricted.  Free permits can be obtained on arrival inside the church.  For St Michael’s Church, you can park in the parking area inside the church gate or on the raod just outside the church.
