ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS 2008

St Mary Magdalene with St Michael & All Angels, Woolwich

SERVICES IN DECEMBER

v During December, Sunday services will be at the usual time of 10.00am at St Mary’s, and 11.20am at St Michaels.

v There will be Sunday School at St Mary’s on the 7^th and 14^th December during the morning service. Each week we will have the Advent Candle Ceremony in the service.

v On Tuesdays 9^th, 16^th, and 23^rd December a short service of Evening Prayer will take place at St Mary’s Church at 6.30pm.

v The Family Services will be on Sunday 21^st December at both churches. These are suitable for all ages; but are especially oriented to children and young families. The Family Services this month will include Christmas Carols, Candles and a Crib. (St Mary’s 10am; St Michael’s 11.20am).

v Also on Sunday 21^st December a service of Carols and Readings will take place at St Michael’s Church at 4.00pm.

v On Wednesday 24^th December we will have a special Christmas Eve Service with Carols, Readings and Crib at 5.30pm, at St Mary’s Church, which we hope everyone will make a big effort to attend. Please bring friends and family with you. Suitable for all ages, including small children.

v On Christmas Day (25^th December) we will have a parish Holy Communion and Carols Service at St Mary’s Church at 10.00am.

v Evening Prayer will take place at St Mary’s Church on Sunday 28^th December at 6.30pm.

SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

v Woolwich Polytechnic School Carol Service: Wednesday 10^th December, 7.00pm at St Mary’s Church

v St Mary Magdalene CE Primary School Christmas Service: Wednesday 17^th December at St Mary’s Church, 1.45pm.

v Mulgrave Primary School Carol Concert: Thursday 18^th December, 5.00pm at St Mary’s Church.
